Video Creation 101: Overview and Helpful Tips

This seminar provides an overview of what it takes to create a short 1- to 2-minute video that communicates research findings to a lay audience. Areas covered include finding effective video editing software; outlining the creation process; and the nuances of scripting, choosing visuals, editing, picking music, and defining a video´s emotional landscape.
SPEAKER: Igor Houwat Communications Coordinator Michigan State University - Department of Energy Plant Research Laboratory Igor has been the Communications Coordinator at the MSU-DOE Plant Research Laboratory (PRL) for two years, and his work consists of branding research, website development, and the creation of news releases that highlight publications coming out of the PRL. Igor´s background is in marketing/PR and music.
