Call for Proposals: Genome Editing for Crop Improvement
Corteva Open Innovation to provide genome editing in crops for selected proposals. Submission deadline extended to May 31, 2020.
The Open Innovation platform of Corteva Agriscience™ has released a call for proposals on Genome Editing for Crop Improvement. We invite scientists from academic and non-profit research institutes located in the United States and Canada to submit non-confidential proposals describing gene edits in maize, soybean, canola, wheat or sorghum with the potential to improve agriculture.
For selected proposals awards include:
- genome editing vector design and synthesis
- seed from gene edited plants of the chosen crop
- an opportunity to engage with our scientists on topics such as gene editing and transformation methods for trait and crop improvement
- intellectual property ownership and publication rights for awarded edits to remain with awardees and their home institution
Given the unprecedented circumstances due to the Covid-19 pandemic, we are extending the submission date to May 31, 2020 to allow potential submitters additional time to prepare proposals.
