Dear Colleagues,

A limited number of awards are available to support the 2021 Maize Genetics Meeting registration costs for the purpose of broadening conference participation and the deadline is fast approaching. We have extended the deadline to Monday, January 18. Students and researchers from underrepresented groups (MaGNET awards), from Primarily Undergraduate Institutions (PUI awards), and from diverse plant research-related disciplines and historically underrepresented groups regardless of discipline (Disciplinary Breadth awards) are encouraged to apply. Note that these awards are restricted to U.S. citizens and permanent residents. *These awards are an excellent opportunity to broaden participation in both the Maize Genetics Meeting and within the larger plant biology community. We ask PIs to please encourage students and researchers from STEM-underrepresented groups who might have an interest in plant biology or genetics to apply for the MaGNET and Disciplinary Breadth awards. Complete information about these programs and how to apply online are located on the Financial Aid page of the MGM website. Please do not register for the meeting if you have applied for an award. Award recipients will be provided a code for complementary registration prior to the registration deadline. New deadline for application: January 18th, 2021. Download Financial Aid flyer
