Hey everybody! Come check out the second edition of the Athens Science Observer Zine. This was all possible thanks to the ASPB BLOOME program. We hope that zines like this can help get the local community more interested in the world around them and promote scientific literacy.

Transgenic plants contain foreign genes and can be stably inherited to the next generation. Transgenic technology is used extensively because transgenic plants improve the ability to resist pests and diseases, increase the yield per unit area, and cultivate new varieties.
