This is a key and difficult question, a question without a binding answer because synthetic biology emphasizes the use of mathematical modeling techniques to predict the behavior of the system and optimize its operation. Creating mathematical models describing the designed system allows you to predict its features, but only in theory. Unfortunately, as the complexity of the system increases, the computational complexity of the simulation and the degree of unpredictability of the system’s behavior increase dramatically.
