Myself Subodh Verma, currently working as Marie Curie Fellow at CEITEC Masaryk University Czech Republic. I completed my doctoral work at NIPGR, New Delhi, India, where I used integrated approaches to study chickpea seed development. Now as a postdoc, I am investigating the transcriptional regulation of auxin biosynthetic genes during embryo development in Arabidopsis, and how this mechanism is affected by high temperature.

Hello Sibaji,
The secondment is not obligatory but I would say it is very important and suggest you should include it. This may be a short stay of a month or two in a different host laboratory in the same or a different European country. Remember to justify your secondment: what training or new technology will you learn and how will this secondment be beneficial to your CV and your host lab. Plus, you’ll make new collaborations and contacts with this secondment.
