I am a PhD student at Brigham Young University in the Department of Plant and Wildlife Sciences. My primary focus is working with Penstemons, a North American genus of wildflowers (http://penstemons.org/), genome sequencing, population genetics, and phylogenetics. I've been working with native North American flora, primarily with Great Basin Desert forb species, for several years including germination studies, cultural practices, seed production, and genetics.
