Bio

I pursued my under- and post-graduation degrees in Biotechnology from Madurai Kamaraj University, Tamil Nadu, India, and later, I joined the National Institute of Plant Genome Research, New Delhi for PhD. During my PhD tenure, I have been awarded the prestigious Fulbright fellowship to visit Louisiana State University, USA (2015-16). Upon completing my PhD, I received the prestigious DST INSPIRE Faculty Award (2017), and with this award, I am currently serving the ICAR-National Research Centre on Plant Biotechnology, New Delhi (2017-till date).

My major area of research is plant molecular genomics, and I am a highly published researcher in this area with 27 original research articles, 8 comprehensive reviews, 8 book chapters and 8 popular articles. The cumulative impact factor of my publications is ~110, and my H-index (Scopus) is 20. My publications have received a total citation of 1350+ till date, and my i10 index is 30.

In recognition of my scientific contributions, I have been awarded several prestigious awards including (i) INSA Medal for Young Scientist (2018) from Indian National Science Academy, New Delhi, India; (ii) NASI Young Scientist Platinum Jubilee Award (2018) from National Academy of Sciences, Allahabad, India; (iii) Early Career Award (2018) from Dept. of Science & Technology, Ministry of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, India.
