Nathan has earned a Bachelor’s degree in Botany from Ohio Wesleyan University and is pursuing a PhD in Plant Biology at Cornell University. His time spent as a research intern and laboratory technician have provided him with valuable experience in experimental design, data analysis, and plant mineral nutrition and physiology. Nathan is committed to enhancing crop resilience through research on root system development and the molecular underpinnings of stress-responses. In addition to pursuing a graduate education, Nathan is interested in projects that communicate fundamental plant biology concepts to the broader public.
