Bio
Sally is a cassava specialist, plant pathologist, educator, mentor, speaker locally and internationally, science communication and outreach ambassador, and a champion for change around the issues of food security, gender and education. Since joining Augustana University in 2015, she has been the recipient of several board nominations, prizes, awards and talk invitations (http://www.augie.edu/faculty-18). Sally holds a Bachelor’s degree in Horticulture and Master’s degree in Crop Protection both from Egerton University, Kenya, Post Graduate diploma in Biotechnology from Ghent University, Belgium and a PhD. in Plant Pathology from Iowa State University, USA
