I am a recent graduate from the School of Genome Science and Technology. Our lab goal was to elucidate the mechanisms that plants use to regulate intercellular communication. We previously identififed an RNA helicase that functions in the regulation of intercellular trafficking and I took a transcriptomics approach to characterize an interacting partner of this RNA helicase. Throughout my graduate studies, I regulary had the opportunity to share with others my research interests, to motivate and encourage young scientists to pursue their goals and to present my exciting research (well I think that it's exciting) at national and international academic conferences.
