My main research interest is in the area of  transcriptional regulation of gene expression in plants. Some of the strategies I have applied include computational analysis of microarray data, gene coexpression data and promoter sequences, along with experimental approaches for the study of gene regulation and function. I have also participated in the establishment of protocols for the in vitro propagation, genetic transformation and molecular marker analyses of non-model plants.
