Bio

I am the Community Engagement Specialist for the American Society of Plant Biologists (ASPB). My main role is to support, nurture, and grow ASPB’s plant science community.

I work mainly with the Plantae and Member Services teams to help manage the Plantae Online Community and oversee ASPB digital communication channels.

I am also PhD Candidate at the University of Florida studying horticulture, molecular biology and plant breeding. My dissertation is focused on the characterization and induction of early flowering in Citrus with the goal of developing an efficient rapid-cycle citrus breeding program. I am in the process of finishing my dissertation and preparing for my defense to graduate this summer!

If you ever have any questions or need help using Plantae please let me know! Message me @ktlrogers or send an email to krogers@aspb.org
