Bio

I am PhD Student at the University of Florida studying horticulture, molecular biology and plant breeding at the University of Florida. I am trained in perennial crop breeding, specifically citrus and peach breeding, under the advisement of Dr. Jose Chaparro in the Subtropical Fruit Tree Breeding Program in Gainesville, FL. My dissertation is focused on the characterization and induction of early flowering in Citrus with the goal of developing an efficient rapid-cycle citrus breeding program.

I am also working as a Social Media and Digital Communications intern for ASPB.
