Bio

I am a current PhD candidate in Department of Plant Pathology of University of Kentucky. From August 2014, I began my PhD study in Aardra & Pradeep Kachroo’s lab, where I study in systemic acquired resistance (SAR), a unique defense response which is only found in plant until now. My research projects focus on the functional activities of free radicals and lipid metabolites in SAR signaling.

Before I attend Kachroo’s Lab, I received both my bachelor and master’s degree under supervision of Dr Zaifeng Fan in China Agricultural University where I did the research study on the host-pathogen protein interaction between Maize and Sugarcane mosaic virus.
