I did my University studies in Torino, Italy, where I discovered the intriguing world of arbuscular mycorrhizal symbiosis. That's why I obtained a PhD with Prof. Bonfante about plant nutrient transporters involved in arbuscular mycorrhizal nutrient exchange. This led me to investigate plant root development and root responses to nutrient. To follow up this topic, at the moment, my postdoc project in Wolfgang Busch group combines high through-put root phenotyping and Genome Wide Association Studies. Since 2016 I'm based in Vienna, at Gregor Mendel Institute.
