Dr. Nitzan Shabek is a Principle Investigator at the plant Biology Department in University of California Davis. His research experience spans both theoretical and applied work, in the areas of structural biology, biochemistry, cellular and molecular biology. He is interested in how signals are perceived, transduced and regulated in plants, and how biological pathways are controlled by proteolytic systems. Shabek research group aims to envision these biological pathways from atomic to whole plant level and address pathophysiological challenges through bioengineering.
